Perennials – A Staple for Most Gardeners

Perennials are plants that live for more than two years — as opposed to annuals (which live only one year)  or biennials ( which take two years to complete their lifecycle).

These will grow back year after year, which makes them a wise investment when considered for one’s yard. Once established, most require little maintenance, and will deal with dry spells better than annuals.  Dependable and enjoyable — for years to come! Plant America Nursery has a wide selection, from the old favorites to the unusual.

The Blackberry Lily, sometimes called the Leopard Flower, has leaves that resemble an iris, and can grow to be up to 18 inches tall. It has a bright orange flower with red spots, that appears in July to August. The seed pods look remarkably like blackberries.

Wild Hyacinth has stunning purple flowers that begin to bloom from the bottom and work their way to the top of the plant. They will return year after year once established, and are relatively long-lived. They attract bees, butterflies and also hummingbirds.

Plant America Nursery ships our perennials bare-root. We ship to all states fast!
